Jira integration for bug reporting

A report that arrived from your site can become a Jira issue in one click — with the description, the reproduction steps and a link to the page where the bug was spotted. The export is one-way; two-way sync is ClickUp only for now.

What it does

How it works

A small, predictable integration: configuration at project level, export from the report view.

Export in one click

The report view has a button that creates an issue in your Jira project under the issue type you chose. A report can only be exported once — clicking again returns the existing issue rather than a duplicate.

All the context already in the description

The issue description carries the report text, the automatically recorded reproduction steps, the page address and the Bugzio report number, so nothing has to be chased separately.

The link stays on both sides

After the export the Bugzio report shows the Jira key and a link to the issue, so it is always clear what has already been handed to development.

Data flow

What syncs, and in which direction

Two columns and no gloss: on the left what Bugzio sends, on the right what comes back.

Export

Bugzio → Jira

  • The report title becomes the issue summary.
  • The description in Jira’s own format, carrying the reporter’s text.
  • A numbered list of reproduction steps, when steps were recorded.
  • The page address and the Bugzio report number.

Jira → Bugzio

  • Nothing comes back: a status change, a comment or a rename on the Jira side does not touch the Bugzio report.
  • Two-way sync today is ClickUp only — everything else is deliberately a one-way export.

Setup

Three steps to working

You need an Atlassian API token and a project key.

Create an API token

Create an API token in your Atlassian account. Together with your email address, that is all Bugzio needs to authenticate.

Enter the details in project settings

In the integrations section of the project settings, enter the Jira address, your email, the token, the project key and the issue type, then press the test button.

Export a report

Open any report and press the export button. The issue is created immediately and the link appears in the report view.

Plans

Which plans include it

Included in the plan

Export to Jira is included from the Starter plan (€19 a month) and on every plan above it. See all plans →

Try it first

Every new account starts with a 14-day trial, and the number of reporters is never capped — an account is only needed by the people working in the panel.

If this is not the integration you came for, the rest are here — each with its own page and an honest description of which way the data moves.

Set it up once, and reports find their own way
