GitHub integration for bug reporting

A report from your site becomes an issue in the repository you choose in one click — with the description, the reproduction steps and the page address. The export is one-way; two-way sync is ClickUp only for now.

What it does

How it works

A small, predictable integration: configuration at project level, export from the report view.

Export in one click

The report view has a button that creates an issue in the repository you named. A report can only be exported once — clicking again returns the existing issue rather than a duplicate.

The description in Markdown

The issue body carries the report description, numbered reproduction steps, the page address and the Bugzio report number.

The link stays on both sides

After the export the Bugzio report shows the issue number and a link to it, so it is always clear what has already been handed to development.

Data flow

What syncs, and in which direction

Two columns and no gloss: on the left what Bugzio sends, on the right what comes back.

Export

Bugzio → GitHub

  • The report title becomes the issue title.
  • The body in Markdown, carrying the reporter’s text.
  • A numbered list of reproduction steps, when steps were recorded.
  • The page address and the Bugzio report number.

GitHub → Bugzio

  • Nothing comes back: closing the issue or commenting on it does not touch the Bugzio report.
  • Two-way sync today is ClickUp only — everything else is deliberately a one-way export.

Setup

Three steps to working

You need an access token allowed to create issues in the chosen repository.

Create an access token

In your GitHub developer settings, create a token that may create issues in the repository you need.

Enter the details in project settings

In the integrations section of the project settings, paste the token, the owner name and the repository name, then press the test button.

Export a report

Open any report and press the export button. The issue is created immediately and the link appears in the report view.

Plans

Which plans include it

Included in the plan

Export to GitHub is included from the Starter plan (€19 a month) and on every plan above it. See all plans →

Try it first

Every new account starts with a 14-day trial, and the number of reporters is never capped — an account is only needed by the people working in the panel.

The other integrations

If this is not the integration you came for, the rest are here — each with its own page and an honest description of which way the data moves.

Set it up once, and reports find their own way

The widget on your site, a report with all the technical data, and an integration that carries it to your team.
